1. Who we are

Metyra Health (the "clinic", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Our registered address is 15 Cable Court, Pittman Way, Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 9YW, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@metyrahealth.uk.

2. What information we collect

  • Enquiry form data: the name, email, phone number, enquiry type, preferred contact method and the message you send through our contact form.
  • Live chat data: the conversation you have with our chat assistant. If you choose to share your name, email or phone number in the chat, we store that alongside the transcript.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, used to prevent abuse and improve the site.

We do not collect special category health data through this website. Please do not submit clinical details through the enquiry form or chat; share these with your consultant during your appointment instead.

3. Why we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry, lawful basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in providing the service you asked for.
  • To improve our chat assistant and quality of service, lawful basis: legitimate interest.
  • To meet legal, regulatory and safeguarding obligations.

4. Who we share it with

Your information is only accessed by Metyra Health staff who need it to respond to you. We use trusted UK and EU based technology providers to host our website and store this data securely. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

5. Where your information is stored

All personal data submitted through this site is hosted in the European Union by our cloud provider. Backups are encrypted at rest and in transit.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and chat transcripts for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, after which they are automatically deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information (the right to be forgotten).
  • Object to or restrict how we use your information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and remember your preferences. See the cookie banner on your first visit for details and choices.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
